Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) signed the final version of the 2018 Farm Bill today, December 10, 2018, using a pen made from hemp! Making the non-psychoactive cousin of marijuana one step closer to being federally legalized.
McConnell wrote on Twitter, “Making it official with my hemp pen! Proud to have served as conferee on #Farmbill & to fight for Kentucky priorities.” Which includes a video. “With today’s signature, my provision to legalize industrial #hemp is 1 step closer to reality.”

Next week the full text of the final version of the 2018 Farm Bill is expected to be publicly released. Both the House and the Senate are expected to vote in the coming days. The Bill will then be put on President Trumps desk to sign.
Also a compromise was made today and the final Bill will allow individuals with prior felony drug charges to participate in the hemp program after 10 years.
All in all this is a positive move forward for the industry and for all the CBD companies out there. Please like and share!
